These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of PageWise AI (the "Service"), including the Chrome extension and associated website. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

PageWise AI is a Chrome browser extension that enables users to chat with webpage content using AI language models. The extension provides page content extraction, in-browser RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and integration with various AI providers via user-supplied API keys or local LLM connections.

2. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for your own API keys, usage, and any costs incurred with third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
You must comply with the terms of service of any AI provider you connect to through PageWise AI.
You are responsible for ensuring your use of the extension complies with applicable laws.

3. Pricing & Payment

The Service offers a Free tier and a paid Pro tier.
Pro is a one-time purchase of $9.99 (USD). Payment is processed through Stripe via ExtensionPay.
Due to the nature of digital products, refunds are generally not available. However, if you experience technical issues that prevent the extension from functioning, we will work with you to resolve them or provide a refund.

4. Prohibited Uses

Reverse engineering, decompiling, or modifying the extension
Using the extension for illegal activities or to infringe on others' rights
Interfering with the extension's functionality or attempting to circumvent licensing
Transferring or reselling your Pro license to third parties

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service belong to the operator. The purchase of a Pro license grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the extension.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
AI-generated responses may be inaccurate. You should verify important information independently.
We do not guarantee compatibility with all websites or all AI providers.
Third-party AI provider availability, pricing, and functionality are outside our control.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to costs incurred from third-party AI providers.

8. Service Changes

We may modify or discontinue the Service at any time. In the event of discontinuation, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this website and take effect immediately upon posting.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the operator's area of residence.
